退役何尝不是另一个全新的开始。

　　大年初八，休斯敦火箭队的主场丰田中心一片红海，在火箭主场对阵公牛的比赛中场休息时间，姚明的11号球衣迎来了自己的退役仪式。

 

　　姚明也将成为继德雷克斯勒（22号）、摩西-马龙（24号）、凯尔文-墨菲（23号）、奥拉朱旺（34号）和鲁迪-汤姆贾诺维奇（45号）之后，火箭队史第六位退役球衣的球员。

 

　　姚明昔日队友弗朗西斯、麦迪、穆托姆博、巴蒂尔，火箭队的老板亚历山大、火箭队传奇人物奥拉朱旺、NBA总裁萧华以及姚明和自己的家人参加了球衣退役仪式。

 

　　从彼时开始，姚明的11号球衣将高高挂在丰田中心的上空，俯视火箭队的每一场主场战斗。而两天前，休斯顿市长西尔维斯特·特纳接见了姚明，并且宣布将2月2日定为“姚明日”，并任命姚明为休斯顿的亲善大使。

 

　　为了姚明的球衣退役仪式，火箭队特地为他制作了一部短片，回顾了他的NBA历史，他的良师益友纷纷出镜！

 

　　而在球衣退役仪式后的新闻发布会上，休斯顿火箭队老板亚历山大也力赞姚明：“姚是一个非常、非常杰出伟大的球员。我希望他不仅仅只以这样一个角色被铭记，他也是一个世界大使，一个杰出的人道主义者。”“当我们选他的时候，我们视他为一个比赛改变者，一个能从世界范围改变篮球收视的人物。他确实是这样，现在也依然还是这样。”

 

　　去年9月，姚明就也已经入驻NBA名人堂（being enshrined into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame）。

　　9月10日，姚明正式进驻美国篮球名人堂。姚明是入选美国篮球名人堂的中国第一人，也是获得这一荣誉的亚洲第一人。

 

　　“让我第一个上台演讲，我还以为你们搞错了…”作为名人堂颁奖仪式的第一位演讲者，姚明又一次展现他的风趣。短短14分钟演讲，他将东方智慧和西方理念完美结合，严谨而不失幽默。

　　when i heard that i waspeaking first tonight, i thought that someone made a mistake. the first speaker should be the great allen iverson. i need practice more than he does.

　　首先是中国篮球传奇牟作云先生。80年之前，牟先生来到斯普林菲尔德研究篮球，之后回到了中国，为中国篮球事业奉献了自己的毕生心血。事实上，cba冠军的名字就是以他命名的，cba冠军是每一个cba球员梦寐以求的荣誉。

　　when jeff van gundarrived with patrick ewing and tom thibodeau, that coaching staff turned uinto a tough defensive team, like he alwaydoes.with t-mac, shane battier, rafer alston, we became a talented young team, especiallwith dikembe. that team wanot onlcompetitive, but a team with a potherhood.

　　mlast nba coach warick adelman. he helped udevelop so mantalented playerlike carl landry, luiscola and aaron pooks. we had a great run in 2008-2009, but unfortunatelminjurcut thingshort and ended mtime with the rockettoo soon. i will alwayremember mtime spent with the houston rocketasome of the best timein mlife.

 

　　我的最后一位nba教练是阿德尔曼。他培养很多天赋出众的球员，比如卡尔-兰德里、路易斯-斯科拉以及阿隆-布鲁克斯。08-09赛季我们运作得非常棒，但是很不幸我的脚受伤了，使得球队没能走得更远，而我也结束了在火箭队的生涯。我会一直记得自己在火箭的时光，因为那是我人生中最美好的阶段。
